Today those of us going to the Cinque Terre hopped on the bus bright and early and headed to Florence to catch our train to Pisa. I’m pretty tired today. Maybe I had too much wine last night. At the train station I finally found pocket coffee’s! I have been searching for them everywhere. Seems that you can only find them at gas stations and train stations.

Once we arrived, Kaleena stayed on the train to La Spezia and the rest of us hopped off to look at the tower. It is in fact still leaning. Pisa was very busy. As expected. Even the last time I was here I remember it being crazy, and that was right after Covid. I don’t think this is a very nice area, but the tower is amazing and well worth seeing. After a quick look at the tower we went to find some food. We walked and walked, aiming to get away from the all the restaurants with the big English menu’s with large photos of all the meals. We didn’t have much luck, and eventually just sat down somewhere and ordered some pizza. It wasn’t good, but it wasn’t a pizzeria, and it was cheap, so who cares. We headed back to the train station, where I had a nap on a bench, and then we were on our way to La Spezia.

I slept for most of the train ride, but while I was awake the views out the window were beautiful. Once we arrived Kaitlin, Rachelle, Paula and I headed to our accommodation, about a 20 minute walk from the train station.

Our loft is very nice, except on booking.com it said “2 beds and a couch.” In reality, the second bed is the pullout couch, so Kaitlin and I are sleeping in the kitchen. I had a good nap and then I met up with Kyler to grab a pizza nearby for dinner and went for a short walk. I had planned to explore the area more today, but was too tired after all the travelling and running around Pisa. I went to sleep early to prepare for the big day ahead.
