Hi, I’m Gabi, and I have decided to copy Kaitlin and use this site to share my experiences during the Special Topics in Tourism Field School in Italy. It seems a lot easier to format & add images than a word doc.
Some topics we will be learning about during this course include food & wine tourism, environmental sustainability, agritourism, and sport tourism. My love for Italy inspired me to participate in this course, and I am keen to learn more about tourism in Tuscany from a more local perspective.
On June 13th, I am flying out of Kamloops with Kaitlin. We will spend two nights in Rome and one in Orvieto before heading to Florence, where we will meet the group and take the bus to Montespertoli. We will spend two weeks here at Castello Sonnino and visit the Cinque Terre during our free weekend.
